The Boll Weevil is a top pick for a kid-friendly restaurant in Augusta for a reason: dessert! Cakes, cheesecakes, and pies in every flavor imaginable await. Try the peanut butter pie!
Of course, The Boll Weevil offers more than just incredible desserts. Their menu features Southern classics and sandwiches. It’s a counter-service restaurant, but they have a very laid-back atmosphere.
The Boll Weevil is located just next to the Riverwalk. It’s right at the amphitheater and makes for a perfect stop for lunch in Augusta when exploring with kids.

The Larder in North Augusta’s Hammond’s Ferry is a dining dream come true for parents! Not only do they have excellent outdoor seating, but there’s a playground there, too. Plus, they have popsicles!
Though it’s table service and the entrees are a bit elevated, The Larder is overall very approachable and an easy pick if dining with kids.
They aren’t open for lunch most days, but they have one of the best weekend brunches in Augusta on Saturdays and Sundays from 10 am to 2 pm.

50’s-style diner and drive-in in North Augusta
The Sno-Cap Drive-In is such a fun place to eat with kids in North Augusta. It’s been a local favorite since opening in 1964.
Their menu includes the diner classics that your kids will love, like hot dogs, burgers and chicken fingers. They also have a ton of ice cream options, including a dip cone and root beer float.
Their dining room with choice of booth or a stool that spins at the counter is such a fun place to eat.

If your kids are big on burgers and milkshakes, head to Farmhaus in downtown Augusta. It’s a fast-casual spot with outdoor seating and counter service.
The kids’ menu at Farmhaus includes a grilled cheese, cheeseburger, hot dog and pimento cheese cheese sandwich. Kids’ meals come with fries and a fountain drink.
Their dessert menu includes soft serve and ice cream shakes. Farmhaus also has a few boozy shakes for adults, including a banana pudding-inspired one with banana rum!

You’ll find them next to sister restaurant Farmhaus. The two are in the same portfolio as Craft & Vine, Frog Hollow Tavern, Pho-Ramen’L and Tacocat. That’s quite a group!

We like grabbing breakfast with kids at New Moon because their menu has something for everyone. Choose from menu items like bagels, pastries, breakfast sandwiches and loaded toast.
Our top pick for breakfast is the ‘downtown mess’ grits bowl, though. Order your grits It Aiken-style with pimento cheese and ham, or Augusta-style with avocado, pimento cheese, bacon and salsa
They also have a great lunch menu with hot and cold sandwiches.

Hildebrandt’s is a local deli in downtown Augusta. It’s a fourth-generation German-inspired deli founded in 1879. Their best seller is a corned beef reuben, and we definitely recommend it if it’s your first trip to Hildebrandt’s!
Apart from sandwiches and hot dogs, Hildebrandt’s also has a small marketplace featuring local brands. Your kids will especially love the old-timey candy section!
